Opening up the internet for everyone
Giving you an accessible website is hugely important to us at Access by Design for two reasons. Firstly, we believe that the internet should be open to everyone, regardless of whether or not they are disabled and using adaptive technologies to access the net. Secondly, we want our websites to perform exceptionally regarless of how they are being viewed. Both of these reasons fall under the heading Accessibility.
Why do you need an Accessible Website?
You must adhere to legislation which has been introduced regarding accessibility. This requires all websites to meet Web Accessibility Standards which enable disabled people to access websites using technologies such as speech readers. It is worth noting that Google also gives precedence to accessible websites over inaccessible websites.
Accessibility will ensure you don’t miss out on a customer
Not only is accessibility important to your website as far as disability is concerned, but also the wider view that your website should be accessible on all platforms. Access by Design websites are not made in Flash, meaning that they are fully accessible to iPhones and they also have multiple layouts to suit all sizes of screen.
